When Mbok Sarni sliced the cucumber. They were very surprised to see a beautiful baby girl inside the cucumber. Then, they named the baby Timun Emas.Six years later, Timun Emas has grown to be a beautiful girl, smart and also kind. But Mbok Sarni kept thinking about the time the giant would take Timun Emas away from them.
One night, Mbok Sarni had a dream. She met a man who lived in a Mount Gundul. He said Timun Emas must met him to save herself from the giant. In Mount Gundul, the man gave Timun Emas a little bag containing needles, salt, and shrimp paste.
A few days later, the giant came to them about the promise. "Give me your child!", said the giant. But Mbok Sarni and Pak Jono tried to hide Timun Emas. So, the giant was angry. Timun Emas ran with the little bag and the giant chased behind her .She was very scared so she threw needles. The needles turned into bamboo trees, sharp and thorny. The giant’s body was scratched and bled. But the giant could go out from the bamboo forest.
After that, Timun Emas spilled the salt and turned into a deep sea. The giant almost drown and had to swim to cross the sea and still chased her. The last was the shrimp paste. She took and threw it. The shrimp paste became a big of boiling mud pond. The giant was trapped in the middle of the mud.The mud slowly but surely drowned him until dead.
